About the maker:
You may have heard of Ryan Hanrahan- not only because he is the genius behind the label Addition Studios, but as the name suggests, from Ryans hand crafted Travertine Void incense burners (my personal favourite) to his meticulously designed minimalist Brass pieces sit at the forefront of Australian Design.
With a company Ethos that reads ‘Creating a Modern Utopia’ you'd be hard pressed to not find his work of synthesizing popular culture through the prism of utility- impressive.
A take from the Addition Studios own journal- Ryan Hanrahan studied Fine Arts at University and gradually side stepped through the Graphic Arts toward Furniture and Object design. Envisioning a life where refined design, a balanced lifestyle and a clear mind all come together seamlessly.
The Cubic Oil Burner is made from limestone featuring all brass details and has a solid geometric form, we would describe it as the brutalist design meets the Greek Islands.
