With a new year comes the expectation to set resolutions for the year ahead. Whether it’s to exercise more, or eat healthier, or get more organised, we often set ourselves up for disappointment by setting resolutions and then not meeting them. By definition a resolution is a firm decision to do or not do something. Whereas your mindset is an established set of attitudes. Try swapping these common resolutions for a new intention and mindset to help you start the year on a positive note…

1. Resolution: Exercise everyday
Mindset: I am going to make a conscious effort to move my body often, in a way that feels good for me.
2. Resolution: Eat healthier
Mindset: I am going to fill my body with an abundance of wholesome and nutritional foods that enable my body to function to the best of its ability.
3. Resolution: Save more, spend less
Mindset: I am mindful of my spending habits and how they effect my mental health and goals.
4. Resolution: Be more social
Mindset: I will step outside of my comfort zone and welcome new opportunities, whilst nurturing current relationships.
5. Resolution: Be more organised
Mindset: I will actively implement strategies to manage my time more effectively, and organise my life with balance and purpose.
